The NBA Playoffs have finally arrived. Following the seeding games from 22 NBA teams, the Playoffs are set and DraftKings has a great promotion for those who plan on betting during the playoffs. From August 17th through August 30th, DraftKings Sportsbook will give you a free, $10 live bet for every day you bet at least $20 on an NBA Playoff game.
How it works
To participate in the offer, you must first head to DraftKings Sportsbook and opt-in.
Then place a $20 bet on an NBA playoff bet every day from 8/17 – 8/30 for a free daily $10 live bet each day of the promotion. To qualify, bets must have -250 odds or longer (e.g. -220, +175, etc). Users can place multiple qualifying bets per day to reach their total of $20 wagered to qualify.
Once the qualifying amount is wagered, you’ll be issued a $10 free, live bet to use on any NBA Live Market that day. The free, live bet expires each day at 11:59 PM ET. It includes live bets and parlays. The promotion excludes free bets, cash bets, voided bets, and odds boosts. Note, in order to qualify these bets, you must place the bets in the following states: CO, PA, NJ, IA, IN, or WV.

It was a tough ending to the regular season for the Sixers, as the loss of Ben Simmons for the remainder of the season casts doubt on their playoff hopes. With Simmons now out, at least the Sixers can hope to find some kind of identity with their roster, as Simmons and Embiid have still yet to work well as a tandem on the court together.
With the Sixers going 2-3 down the stretch without Simmons, the team has shown some signs of potency, but they’re going to have to figure out something fast. The Celtics have the better coach and the more well-rounded starting five. It’s going to be a steep hill to climb for the Sixers in round one, so the hope going forward is the Sixers find a rhythm and learn who they are after this big test.
For the terms of the promotion, I like the Rockets versus Thunder series. The key to betting this series is the health of Russell Westbrook. To bet this the smart way, you’ll want to go with the Thunder through the first couple of games and then go with the Rockets after Westbrook returns. Westbrook’s first game back will likely be a bit of an adjustment, so betting the Thunder in that specific game wouldn’t be a bad option either.
Because the promotion requires odds to be -250 or longer, every game in this series should be within the odds range required. Currently, the Rockets are slight favorites in the series, with the expectation Westbrook returns for the third game. If the series is 1-1 going into Westbrook’s return for game three, go ahead and take the Rockets the rest of the way.
