To celebrate the return of America’s real favorite pastime, the DraftKings PA online sportsbook has put out the biggest and easiest promo bet anyone has ever seen with the NFL. At -110 odds, the Chiefs just need to cover the +101 point spread for you to win. No, this is not a trick.
I’ve seen some appealing promo’s before in my life but this one takes the cake. As long as the Chiefs don’t lose by more than 101 points in their opener against the Texans, DraftKings will pay out bets up to $50 to all those who opt-in to this incredible offer. The promotional period runs from September 1st until September 10th at 8:20 p.m. Users will be issued a single-use odds boost for the Kansas City Chiefs to cover the +101 spread. The boosted odds are -110 and the maximum bet is $50. Users can find the market in the DraftKings Sportsbook main page. It’s titled “No Brainer Bets.” You’ll see the title “KC +101 No-Brainer.”
You can also find the market from the Rewards/Promotions page or navigate to “DK Promotions” under “A-Z Sports” and select the “KC +101” market. Users must select the boost in their bet slip before placing the bet. The promo excludes live bets, parlays, free bets, cash-out bets, voided bets, and odds boosts. The max is one qualifying bet per user, and the promotion applies only to those in PA, CO, NJ, IL, IN, and WV.
2020 Eagles preview
The 2020 season is upon us, and the Eagles are coming off a season where few could stay healthy. Despite the injury woes, the Eagles went 6-1 in the division and managed to make it to the playoffs, before suffering a heartbreaking loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Though the Eagles dominated their division (5-1 vs NFC East), they struggled to a 4-6 record outside the division.
The Eagles roll into 2020 still needing help at receiver. Former TCU star and first-round pick, Jalen Reagor, has a torn labrum and is listed as week-to-week. Both Ward and Arcega-Whiteside have made strides in their progressions, but leaning on the aging wonder that is Desean Jackson doesn’t sound like a great plan heading into the season.
Last year, believe it or not, the Eagles pass catchers were rated as the number one unit going into the 2019 season by Pro Football Focus. Depth concerns aside, Eagles fans shouldn’t be overly concerned with minor injuries from Wentz, Reagor, and Miles Sanders. There is no post-Super Bowl curse, and fans can’t go into 2020 with the same pessimism that was carried throughout much of last season. Sure, the Cowboys upgraded their receiving corps with the best receiver in the class, but they’re still the Cowboys. They’ll find a way to shoot themselves in the foot eventually.
Eagles Odds in 2020
According to DraftKings Sportsbook, the Eagles are tied for the seventh-best odds to win the Super Bowl this season (+2000). For the division, the Eagles are sitting at +150, behind the Cowboys at -121. It’s very similar to last season’s odds, but the difference between this season and last has more to do with the changes the Cowboys have made.
The Cowboys replaced former head coach, Jason Garrett, with Mike McCarthy. McCarthy was once believed to be an antiquated coach, destined to fade away, but a commitment to analytics during his downtime outside the NFL was enough to convince Jerry Jones that McCarthy was the right man for the job in Dallas.
2020 Philadelphia Eagles Prediction
Last season, I picked the Eagles to win the division. Though 2019 didn’t go exactly to plan, the Eagles persevered and clawed their way into the playoffs. This season, I believe the Eagles will struggle with injuries and chemistry from the receiving corps, but ultimately get back into the playoffs.
I think the Cowboys are just positioned so well to take the division this season, and the coaching change was just what they needed to take the reins from the Eagles in the NFC East in 2020. I have the Eagles going 9-7 again and upsetting their Wildcard opponent, en route to a defeat in the Divisional round.
